Jim is often on the road traveling for food shoots and for inspiration. Recent travels for food shoots include Baja Mexico, Tomales Bay, Brooklyn and the Yucatan. In late 2017 he is scheduled to fly to Oaxaca to continue work on his cookbook, as well as Copenhagen and Hong Kong for editorial shoots.

When not cooking or shooting, he can be found spending time with his other loves: his beautiful wife and little girl.
Jim is a chef and an award winning food photographer/cinematographer based in Southern California. As a classically trained chef and graduate from the Art Institute, his ability to cook and understand food helps him portray food in a unique way. He is able to showcase the food in an editorial, advertising or lifestyle perspective. In addition, he has a passion for shooting film, from his 35mm Leica M6 to medium format camera.
He is the chief photographer for Californios, Juniper and Ivy, The Crack Shack, Bar Kindred, and Spoleto Italian Restaurants.
